AUDIO: WOMAN HAS TAPEWORMS … IN HER BRAINNNNN
A woman in Texas who had been suffering from severe headaches was horrified to discover they were due to tapeworm larvae sacs growing in her brain. Yadira Rostro first started to notice bad headaches nine months ago and finally sought medical help after they continued to get worse. Doctors then made the gruesome discovery and operated to remove the parasites from her brain. It is believed the 31-year-old picked up the tapeworms on a trip to Mexico two years ago. They are common in food contaminated with fecal matter but pass through most people in a few days. Unfortunately for Yadira they got into her bloodstream and then her brain. Neurosurgeon Richard Meyrat explained: “They looked a little bit like eggs, and they have a clear sac,” he said. “And inside it, a small tapeworm.”
* Thank you, Doctor House.
* I guess Donald Trump can add brain tapeworms to his list of bad things coming from Mexico.
* Tapeworms from Mexican food, sure, sure. But the beaches!
* Oreos are gonna be made in Mexico. Just sayin’.
* Not sure how Nabisco will put a positive marketing spin on “contaminated with fecal matter.”
* Wouldn’t the larval sacs be all throughout her body? Or … did they decide not to worry her about that? Oops.
* I can just picture that doctor’s appointment. Yikes.
* “Good news, Yadira. We’ve found out what’s wrong with you.”
* “Wait, I think you better sit down before you hear this…”
* Well, I see why the aspirin wasn’t working.
