WOMAN FINDS CATFISH IN HER MAILBOX
Residents of St. Cloud, Florida, are finding catfish in their mailboxes. Maddison Fertic said she found a large, dead catfish inside her mailbox on Monday. The fish was 12 inches long, and she believed it was alive when it was put into the box because it looked as if it flopped around. Two other residents also found catfish, one in a mailbox and one in the yard. Fertic believes the incidents could be kids playing pranks, but she is worried the silly stunts could turn into bigger potential crimes. “It starts with the catfish in the mailbox, but then it starts with breaking into a car. You never know where things escalate to,” she said.
* Kids playing pranks? Well, yeah, I guess the odds are slim that the catfish are doing this by themselves.
* Maybe they were supposed to go in a lake but the mailman delivered them to the wrong address?
* Don’t think of it as a prank – think of it as a free dinner.
* She actually said, “It starts with the catfish in the mailbox”? Gee, that doesn’t sound ridiculous at all.
* “Next you get an eel in your driveway.”
* “Then later – if nothing is done – they move on to sharks in the garage.”
* “And finally you’ve got a killer whale in your living room.”
* She’s right about how things escalate. You know the War of 1812? It started with a catfish in the mailbox.
