WHITE HOUSE BACK OPEN FOR TOURS

The White House is reopening for public tours, first lady Melania Trump announced Tuesday. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has been closed to visitors since the Obama family moved out and the Trump family officially moved in on Inauguration Day in late January. Public tours are now set to resume March 7. “I am excited to reopen the White House to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year,” the first lady said in a statement. “The White House is a remarkable and historic site, and we are excited to share its beauty and history. I am committed to the restoration and preservation of our Nation’s most recognizable landmark.”

* It took them a little longer than necessary to get the casino carpeting down and the slot machines installed in the Blue Room.
* Make sure you keep the doorway clear for any more administration officials who might be leaving in a hurry.
* The welcome mat outside says “We’re going to welcome you like never before. Ever. And that starts right here, right now.”
* I’m glad it’s open again. Having it closed was just sad.
* One difference: The Blue Room has been redone in gold leaf.
* And it will now be known strictly as “The Trump White House.”
* Meanwhile Hillary just rearranges some things in her sock drawer.
