AUDIO: THE HOVERBOARD DENTIST
An Anchorage, Alaska, dentist faces a slew of allegations that he unnecessarily sedated patients in order to maximize Medicaid payments. Seth Lookhart of Clear Creek Dental was charged last week with 17 counts of fraud and “unlawful dental acts”. Lookhart allegedly billed nearly $2 million in intravenous sedation without proper justification; and he is accused of performing a tooth extraction – while a patient was sedated – while standing on a hoverboard, filming it and texting it to others.
* That is so dangerous. Those hoverboards can catch fire.
* Now his career is up in the air.
* Well, you want all the other dentists to think you’re cool, don’t you?
* This is nothing. He once filled a patient’s cavity while jumping on a trampoline.
* Maybe it’s time to quit dentistry and join the circus.
* There’s one scary phrase for you: Unlawful dental acts.
* What other kinky stuff was this creep doing while the patients were out?
* From dental retainers to a retainer for his lawyer.
* He billed $2 million for sedation? Even the Pentagon thought it was excessive.
CLIP: At least he didn’t go to this dentist.
