STUDENT/HUSBAND OF MARY KAY LETOURNEAU FILES FOR DIVORCE

Mary Kay Letourneau – the notorious schoolteacher who served more than 7 years in prison for having sex with her student, whom she later married – is about to be single again. Vili Fualaau – the former student-turned-husband – filed for legal separation earlier this month. Mary Kay was 34 years old in 1996 when she began having sex with her sixth grade student. They married in 2005. At the time Mary Kay started the affair, she was married with 4 children. Mary Kay and Vili have 2 kids of their own.
* It’s too bad, really, because by now it’s too late for Vili to find a date for prom.
* Asked how long they’d been married, Vili held up both hands and said, “This many!”
* If you remember, the couple had trouble on their honeymoon, because Vili had forgotten his permission slip.
* As a reason for the separation, Vili cited “too much homework”.
