SCORPION IN BAG OF SPINACH
A few days ago, someone found a bat in a bag of organic salad. Now, A Maryland couple found a live scorpion inside a bag of spinach. Shanmukha Jerripothula bought the bag of Giant brand spinach from their local Giant supermarket in Chevy Chase last week. When Boddapati opened the bag Monday afternoon he saw something inside the bag crawling. It was a scorpion. Boddapati captured the critter in a water bottle and took it to the store to try to get managers to pull the spinach from their shelves. Which they did, about 6 hours later, after being contacted by reporters.
* Like I need another reason to not eat spinach.
* This could have changed the Popeye story completely.
* They’re lucky the scorpion didn’t eat the spinach and start punching everyone.
* The weird part? Shanmukha Jerripothula found the scorpion, and the species of the scorpion was Jerripothula Shanmukha.
* This is similar but not exactly like the situation between Putin and Trump. That one is more like two live scorpions in a water bottle.
* The positives are that it was alive so the consumer noticed it right away. With the dead bat they ate some of the lettuce before getting to the treasure.
* That could be a way for the produce companies to handle this. Just say “Now with a Few Select Prizes!”
* Sure, these weren’t horrible, disgusting surprises. No, this was planned. These were prizes.
* Actually, in some parts of the world, spinach and scorpion are part of this complete breakfast.
