ROCK-PAPER-SCISSORS LEADS TO NEAR-STABBING
Prosecutors in Seattle claim Michael Langley stabbed at another man after his friend lost a $1 bet on a street corner rock-paper-scissors match. Langley, 36, has been charged with second-degree assault in the June 29 incident. Prior to the incident, the alleged victim had been soliciting rock-paper-scissors opponents in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. A friend of Langley’s apparently took up the challenge around 3:20 a.m., and lost his dollar. Langley’s friend was okay with the loss, but Langley was not. He demanded the dollar back and threatened to stab the gamester in the neck. Langley then pulled a folding knife and lashed out, slashing inches from the other man’s body and slicing his “Rock-paper-scissors for a dollar” sign. The alleged victim gave the other man back his dollar and fled.
* You gotta appreciate the guy’s loyalty to his friend. Also, he probably needed the dollar to buy crack.
* Time to switch to Solitaire.
* It’s kind of nice to hear about people still playing the traditional games.
* Now if we could just leave out the assault part.
* This is nothing. You should see what happened when they played Monopoly.
* Let’s just say someone needed a “Get out of jail free” card.
* Looks like we have a new game now: Rock-paper-scissors-knife.
* Sorry, pal, “Criminal Justice Code” beats “knife” every time.
