OREO PEEPS PERMUTATING PEOPLE'S POOP PINK
The new Peeps-flavored Oreos have an interesting side effect. If you eat too many, it turns your poo pink. Since the limited-edition Oreos were released a few weeks ago, people have been tweeting about the, uh, end result of eating too many. Such as this person who wrote: “My roommate ate a whole pack of Oreo Peeps and left a pink stain in the toilet.” Oreo has released a statement explaining the pink Peep poop: “The Oreo Peep limited-edition sandwich cookies contain a bright pink food coloring. We use this ingredient in the product consistent with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations. Certain foods can temporarily color the tongue and inside of the mouth. This is common with brightly colored products such as ice pops, gelatins and drink mixes, as well as with certain fruits and vegetables, including beets and cranberries. Such foods can also temporarily color stool.”
* Nice work, connecting Oreos with fruits and vegetables. A+ for that!
* And they avoided any reference to feces ’til the very last word.
* Oreos that turn your stool pink. Or as the kids today say, “I gotta try me that!”
* There should be a warning on the package, like a little picture of a kitchen stool, painted pink.
* Eat some asparagus the same day as the Oreos and you could have a modern art exhibit in your toilet.
* How about your farts? Do they smell like marshmallow?
* You’d think this problem would have presented itself during the testing on lab rats.
* Unless they couldn’t get the lab rats to eat enough of these things to make a difference, which is most likely.
* So how do they turn this into an advertising slogan?
* “Eat Oreos: They’ll Leave A Pink Stain in Your Toilet!”
* Naa, I think it needs work.
* I like how they explain that it’s bright pink food coloring like we’re not supposed to be worried about that.
