NEW IPHONES WILL RECORD YOU, WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT
The new iPhones announced by Apple Tuesday, will be set by default to automatically record a constant stream of sound and video whenever the camera app is in use, before you press the shutter button and even if the camera isn’t set to take video. This is how Apple describes it:
“A still photo captures an instant frozen in time. With Live Photos, you can turn those instants into unforgettable living memories. At the heart of a Live Photo is a beautiful 12‑megapixel photo. But together with that photo are the moments just before and after it was taken, captured with movement and sound.”
* Remember, you can’t spell Apple without the letters N, S and A.
* Here’s how it will really work: the phone will analyze your speech, look for proper nouns like names of stores or restaurants, and then start sending ads for those things onto your social media feeds.
* Suddenly butt dialing doesn’t seem like that big a deal.
* You’ll now be able to butt videotape them and send it out on the Net.
* I have one question for Apple: Have you considered the implications of this, you out-of-control maniacs?
* Sorry, that was harsh. Let me rephrase it. Have you thought this through enough or not?
