MUGGER USES ELECTRIC GUITAR AS A WEAPON
A Fort Lauderdale, Florida, man has been charged for using an electric guitar as a weapon during an unsuccessful theft. Edward J. Chestnut III, 23, was arrested Monday after trying to grab a laptop computer from Daniel Wolfe. Wolfe, 55, was walking to a library when Chestnut tried to grab his computer case. While Wolfe was trying to call for help on his cellphone, Chestnut struck him with a guitar. The attack left Wolfe with a gash on his left arm that required four stitches. Chestnut ran off but was found later at an area hotel because a bystander saw the attempted robbery. Details about the make and model of the guitar weren’t released.
* Let’s hope it wasn’t a Les Paul. Those things weigh a ton.
* Plus, you wouldn’t want to hurt the Les Paul.
* Riddle: How could the victim get a gash from a guitar? Answer: Because it was the guitar player’s axe.
* He attacked him in the key of “Ouch.”
* Now Chestnut’s gonna be playing the blues.
* If you’re going to get hit with a guitar, I’d recommend a hollow body.
* And if you can get them to use a ukulele, even better.
* You’ve heard of whammy bars? This was a whammy guitar.
