MAN SHOT AFTER ASKING IF BULLETPROOF VEST STILL WORKS

A Florida man asking if a bulletproof vest “still worked” was fatally shot by his cousin. Tampa police say Joaquin Mendez, 23, put on the vest late Saturday and “wondered aloud whether it still worked.” His cousin, Alexandro Garibaldi, 24, pulled out a gun and responded, “Let’s see.” Officers found Mendez outside the house with a gunshot wound in his chest. Mendez died at a hospital. Police say the vest was found inside the house with a gunshot.
* So, no then?
* Sadly, it was actually a hypothetical question.
* It works – it just doesn’t work very well.
* Maybe it was the gun that worked TOO well.
* Let’s be fair here: The vest did slow the bullet down a little.
* I’m going to go ever further and say the vest never worked.
* You’re telling me these vests can go bad like a bunch of bananas?
* Curiosity killed this cat but satisfaction will not bring him back.
* On the bright side, the guy’s a shoe-in for the Darwin Awards.
* Joaquin Mendez and Alexandro Garibaldi? Don’t tell Trump!
