MAN RETURNS TO WORK ON 100TH BIRTHDAY
Bill Hansen of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, wanted only one thing for his 100th birthday. He wanted to return to his old job. Hansen says he hates retirement, which he did at the age of 97 after working 32 years as a permit coordinator for Hutchinson Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. On Monday, the company welcomed Hansen back. There was a birthday cake and a standing ovation before Hansen got back to work. The company paid him $1 and gave him a complete day of assignments.
* The company gave him a complete day of assignments which just meant finding his desk.
* That pile of lead pipes isn’t going to move itself, Bill.
* Unfortunately, sometime in the afternoon he was asked to train his replacement and then shown the door.
* The hard part of the job is being that old and working around the sound of dripping water all day.
* Unfortunately, the one day back screwed up his pension so he’s now penniless.
* Now he wants to meet that 94-year-old woman who’s worked at McDonalds for 44 years.
* He wouldn’t mind laying some pipe with her if you know what I mean.
