MAILMAN BREAKS INTO HOUSE, TRIES ON OWNER'S BOOTS

A Dover, New Hampshire, mailman was arrested for allegedly breaking into a house on his route and putting on the homeowner’s boots. The homeowner recently installed a new security system with motion-sensitive surveillance cameras that send an alert to her phone. On Wednesday morning, she got an alert that someone was inside her house. Looking at the surveillance images, she recognized the man who had broken in – it was her mailman, 39-year-old Richard Ringer. And he was wearing the homeowner’s leather boots, which she kept in a box under her bed. Police were able to quickly locate Ringer, wearing the same clothes as in the security video, except for the boots. On the surveillance video, Ringer finds the boots in quite a hurry, suggesting to her that he’s broken into her house and worn them before.
* You know what they say: the postman always kinks twice.
* This would explain his nickname “Ringer the Swinger”.
* He wanted to walk a mile in her shoes, while really workin’ it.
* Maybe he wanted new footwear for, you know, snow or rain or sleet or gloom of night.
* When it comes to crazy postal worker behavior, this is really pushing the envelope.
* Along with that new security system and motion-sensitive cameras, she might also want to try locking the door. Just a suggestion.
* They’re going to throw the book at him – the book of stamps.
* Uhh … just how big are that lady’s feet?
* Time to reboot your home security system.
