JOB APPLICANT FOILS ROBBERY DURING INTERVIEW

A New Orleans teen helped stop a robbery during his job interview. Devin Washington was interviewing for a new job at a Popeyes Fried Chicken restaurant when a thief tried to steal cash from the register. The 18-year-old leapt from his seat and placed the suspected robber in a reverse bear hug. A Popeyes assistant manager grabbed the suspect’s arm and the manager — who’d been conducting the interview — blocked the door to prevent escape. Realizing he’d been defeated, robber Pablo Ciscart, 50, threw the cash to the floor and surrendered to the staff until officers from the New Orleans Police Department arrived on the scene. Afterwards, Washington was offered the job on the spot.
* And now he’s working the night shift at Popeye’s, so… congratulations?
* Ironically, if he tried that as an employee they would probably fire him.
* They’d have to – for legal reasons.
* He learned the reverse bear hug watching Leonardo DiCaprio’s movie.
* The boss was thinking, “We’ve got a guy here who’ll risk his life for a minimum wage job. This is PERFECT!”
* How many of you are thinking about how brave this guy was? Okay, now how many of you are thinking, “Damn, now I want some fried chicken for lunch”?
* PHONE TOPIC: My strangest job interview.
