HERO GOAT SAVES FAMILY

In the town of Weiner, Arkansas, a little goat named Speedy saved a family from a fire. 10-year-old Abigail Bruce was asleep on the couch last week when her new pet, Speedy, jumped on her legs and then her chest. Abigail woke up to a houseful of smoke. She ran to her parent’s room and woke up her father Nick Bruce. He soon realized the garage was engulfed in flames, with fire starting to come through the windows. The family jumped out the bedroom window and onto the front lawn unscathed. The fire department arrived minutes later. They were able to get the flames out, but unfortunately, the smoke and soot damaged everything inside. The family said it could have been worse if it weren’t for Speedy, who had joined the family just two days before their home caught fire. The goat was a birthday gift for Abigail.
* Roasted Weiners?
* The goat jumped on her legs and chest? Time to teach it how to bark.
* So they have a combination smoke detector and garbage disposal.
* You know where Weiner, Arkansas is, right? Just up the road from Ball Sack, Arkansas.
* Hmmm, the goat just got there? Has anyone wondered if Speedy set the fire?
* At any rate it’s an interesting contradiction between the hero and the goat concept.
* Maybe it’s “G.O.A.T.” as in Greatest of All Time.
* I’d say the little girl was pretty heroic too.
