FLORIDA TEEN FLEES ACCIDENT, DRIVES INTO POOL

In Tampa, Florida, a 17-year-old boy was driving a four-door Chevy Wednesday evening when he crashed into a parked Hyundai. He decided not to stick around and sped off. However, in speeding off, he crashed through a fence, a screened porch, and drove straight into a swimming pool. The teen was able to get out of the car before it submerged. He caused about $30,000 worth of damage and is now facing criminal charges.
* Oh, and towing charges.
* I bet it’s not the first time this kid dove into the shallow end of a pool.
* I’ve heard of a car pool, but this is ridiculous.
* I’m not sure the verb “driving” applies here.
* It sounds more like he just hit the gas and let nature take its course.
* I could see the fence putting up some resistance, but you can’t expect the screened porch to stop him.
* Now his parents have that sinking feeling.
* The scary thing is it’s only June. The summer stories are just starting.
* See, if this had been winter in Buffalo he would have just driven across the pool.
