FLORIDA PRANK: ALLIGATOR SHOVED INTO DRIVE-THRU WINDOW

Joshua James, 23, wanted to play a practical joke on a friend working at the Wendy’s restaurant in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. James found a 3-foot alligator on the side of the road and led the reptile into his truck. He drove to the Wendy’s restaurant and placed an order, received a drink at the drive-thru window, and then threw the alligator through the opening. James now faces charges of aggravated assault, and unlawful possession and transportation of an alligator. The alligator was released back into the wild. The incident took place in October.
* The charges sound like a croc.
* Aggravated assault, and the alligator was pretty aggravated, too.
* Oh, plus – the guy never did pay for the drink.
* Boy, the invention of the drive-thru opened up an entire new universe of dumb-assity, huh?
* Royal Palm Beach? You mean there’s a place even more upscale than Palm Beach?
* Wait, I just checked the median income … never mind.
* Fortunately they were able to subdue the gator by feeding it fast food ’til it became sluggish and ill.
* “That’s a terrific practical joke you came up with, young man. Now get in the squad car and shut up.”
* That’s how arrogant we are with other creatures on this planet. We’ll even use them just to make a joke.
