FIGHT OVER CRAB LEGS
On Saturday evening, two people were arrested in Manchester, Connecticut after they got into a dispute over crab legs in a buffet line at the Royal Buffet restaurant. A woman called police to complain that there was a fight and her 21-year-old son suffered a broken tooth and cut lip. Police were told she used pepper spray to keep him from being assaulted further. Police say Clifford Knight, 45, and Lataya Knight, 38, were arrested on disorderly conduct and other charges.
* Somebody was being shellfish.
* The buffet is supposed to be crabby, not the customers.
* So much for seafood being good for you.
* They were taken away and locked in a dungeness.
* It makes sense: they were being a royal pain at the Royal Buffet.
* Anyway, it was good that the 21-year-old’s Mommy protected him.
* At this point, a wacky news story has around a 45% chance of being about food.
* Hell, there’s a whole category just for when food is used as a weapon.
* Now, if one of these people had beaten the other person WITH the crab leg, it would be in that category.
* I like seasonings too, but when I go through the buffet line, I usually don’t ask for pepper spray.
