DRUNK MAN DRIVES AROUND POLICE ACADEMY PARKING LOT

An Albany, New York, man was drunk when he parked his car at the State Police Academy and got out to lie in the grass Wednesday afternoon. Troopers saw Patrick French, 49, driving his vehicle in the lot before he stopped and got out, walked over to a nearby patch of grass, and lied down for what appeared to be a nap. Troopers said they could smell alcohol on his breath and noticed his motor skills were impaired. French failed field sobriety tests and a breath test, which determined his blood alcohol content was .28 percent. He was charged with driving while intoxicated.
