COUPLE HIRED HIT MAN TO OFF THEIR EXES

A Houston, Texas, veterinarian and her boyfriend are accused of trying to hire an undercover police officer posing as a hit man to kill their former partners. Valerie McDaniel, 48, Leon Jacob, 39, were arrested last Friday and charged with solicitation of capital murder. Prosecutors say McDaniel wanted her ex-husband killed, while Jacob sought to have his ex-girlfriend kidnapped and later killed to prevent her from testifying against him in a separate assault case. The two had agreed to pay a man $10,000 to orchestrate the attack. Both would-be victims were notified of the plots against them. They agreed to cooperate with authorities and helped them stage murder and kidnap scenes that were photographed as proof the attacks were carried out.
