BUS DRIVER LEAVES PASSENGERS STRANDED WHILE HE NAPS

A Greyhound bus bound for Denver made a pit stop at a motel in Kansas so the driver could rest. The problem was, the driver didn’t tell the passengers what he was doing – he just left them stranded. The driver pulled into a La Quinta motel in Salina, Kansas, late Tuesday afternoon, then got off without telling anyone where he was going. He left dozens of passengers stranded on the bus for hours outside while he went inside to catch up on some sleep. Passengers initially thought it was going to be a quick stop but when the driver didn’t come back, they called both the bus company and police. Greyhound said the driver had to finish his federally-regulated rest hours. The company also said the passengers could have waited inside a fast food restaurant to keep warm.
* Why would they do that when bus seats are so comfortable?
* The passengers also could have studied for their ‘F’ class license, taken the required training, passed the test, applied for and become bus drivers themselves.
* And several did in the time it took the driver to get back to his job.
* Cute how Greyhound tries to make it the federal government’s fault.
* “Greyhound”? More like “Tortoise”. Actually, more like a rock that’s just sitting there going nowhere.
* The bus driver said nothing. Was this better or worse than having a bus driver who talks TOO much? Let’s open the phones.
* At least he didn’t nap behind the wheel.
* I bet Tracy Morgan wishes the driver in that crash had done this.
* Don’t worry. The driver should have plenty of opportunities to sleep in now.
* How could anyone get drowsy driving through a scenic area like Salina, Kansas?
* Great, you’re the owner of the fast food place. And suddenly you have a bus full of people hanging out and nobody’s buying anything.
