BRIDE WANTS WEDDING GOWN MADE WITH DEAD MOTHER’S HAIR
A bride-to-be in England is having a difficult time finding a dressmaker willing to create her dream wedding dress made with locks of her dead mother’s hair. The anonymous 61-year-old wrote on a fashion manufacturing website that she wants to “recreate” the dress that her mother wore when her parents married in 1953. The dress would have hair fringe around the cuffs of the sleeves, hair around the neckline, and a decorative midsection with a lacy design made with her dead mother’s hair. She admitted that the request is “quite weird” but says she started to collect the hair in 2014 when her mother became ill. She died in August, and now her daughter has a full box of hair. “At the time I wasn’t sure why I was collecting,” she posted. “However, now I think I do.”
* Hair comes the bride!
* Wouldn’t the wedding dress be haunted?
* Her mom probably died from a head cold, not having any hair to keep it warm.
* I’d be concerned about dandruff.
* She also wants a bridal garter made from Mom’s toenail clippings.
