BOEING STARTS TESTING ON PILOTLESS PLANES
Boeing announced they have started work on self-piloting planes. The company says increasing demand for flights, and a shortage of pilots, are the main reasons for their research. They say planes can already take off, cruise, and land without pilots and they plan to start simulations this summer. Tests on a real plane could come as soon as next year.
* Welllll, I guess I always did like road trips.
* If you buy flight accident insurance, get ready to add a couple zeroes to the price.
* And Captain Sully weeps quietly to himself.
* Well, it’s a fun announcement for hackers.
* No way any of this new technology can go wrong. By the way, did you hear a piece of the brake fell off the monorail at DisneyWorld last week?
* I’m not concerned. Planes are always losing pilots in the movies, and things always seem to work out okay.
