BAT FOUND IN BAG OF SALAD
There is a recall of Fresh Express prepackaged salad mix after a bat was found in a bag sold at a Florida Walmart. The recalled salads were distributed only to Walmart stores located in the Southeastern region of the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the bat was found by two people who had already eaten some of the salad.
(The company is recalling the 5-ounce Organic Spring Mix with production code G089B19 and best-if-used-by date of APR 14, 2017 located on the front label, and UPC code 6 8113132897 5 located on the bottom of the container.)
* You can tell which bags have the bat in them because they’re hanging from the rack upside-down.
* It’s okay – it was an organic bat.
* Was it an heirloom bat?
* So they ate a bat. It’s not as bad as a bug crawling in your ear and laying eggs.
* Hello, bats are supposed to be over on Aisle 5.
* This would be perfect if you enjoyed bat meat salad.
* I’m just glad the damn thing was dead.
* The good news: If it likes lettuce at least we know it isn’t a vampire.
