BABYSITTER TAKES KIDS TO BANK ROBBERY
Rachel Einspahr, 28, allegedly drove up to a bank drive-thru window in Severance, Colorado, last Friday and passed a note to the teller that said a man in her car was threatening to harm her children if she didn’t give him money. The bank teller, under the assumption that lives were in danger, gave her $500. After receiving a report of the theft, sheriff’s officers immediately searched the area and found an SUV that matched the description of the suspect’s vehicle a short distance away from the bank. Inside the car was Einspahr, and two kids that she was babysitting. Einspahr was arrested and charged with child abuse and robbery.
* Is it better to just let the kids sit around and watch TV all day?
* So I guess the babysitting job doesn’t pay well.
* A short distance from the bank? Let’s go over the concept of the getaway again.
* This is where the woman says, “He got mad and left after he told us to keep the money.”
* “Oh, and he said if we turned the money in he would come back and hurt us.”
* I know it’s not easy finding a good babysitter these days, but you can do better than this.
* You know the sick part? The kids demanded an equal share of the loot.
