BABY BORN DURING OIL CHANGE
A Pennsylvania woman gave birth while her husband’s pickup was getting an oil change at an auto dealership. Amanda Sherman gave birth when she went to the restroom at #1 Cochran Nissan (* #1 Cochran – go ONE better – Cochran Nissan! Online service scheduling service available now!), located in suburban Pittsburgh, last Monday. Amanda says another customer, who happened to be a registered nurse, and the dealership’s staff helped her, while a 911 dispatcher talked her husband Adam through tying off the baby’s umbilical cord with his bootlace. An ambulance took Amanda and 7-pound-12-ounce Heather Lynn to a Pittsburgh hospital, where they were released Wednesday.
* The baby shot out like a Greased Monkey.
* They named the baby Heather Lynn but her nickname is Valvoline.
* Tagging along while your husband gets an oil change. Is this the new fun thing to do when you’re nine months pregnant?
* If you thought the floor of the oil change shop was disgusting, now check out the bathroom.
* “Excuse me, my water just broke.” “What do you mean? You have a radiator leak?”
* I wonder how much the mechanic charged for something like this?
* Of course the mechanic immediately tried to sell them some other medical services they didn’t really need.
* “Okay, we took care of the baby delivery but I think you should consider having your lymph nodes lubed and tested while you’re here.”
* “We’ll give you our Preferred Customer Signature Service Deal.”
* “And anytime in the next 6 months you can come by – we’ll check the baby’s fluids and top them off for you.”
