AUDIO: MAN TRIES TO SHOVE CO-WORKER INTO WOOD CHIPPER
A 26-year-old Oregon man attacked a co-worker at a tree company and tried to push him head-first into a wood chipper. The alleged attack took place last Thursday at a job site in the town of Keizer. The 22-year-old victim told police “he was standing behind the running wood chipper loading brush into it when Scott Iverson grabbed him from behind and put him into a ‘choke hold’ while pushing his upper torso over and onto the feeding table of the wood chipper head first.” During the struggle, another employee saw what was happening at which time he intervened and pulled Scott Iverson off the victim. Iverson then walked away on foot. The victim told police he was unaware of any issue between himself and Iverson.
* Said the victim, “I’m stumped.”
* No harm, no foul?
* Maybe it was an honest mistake. Was the victim’s name Woody?
* There may not have been an issue between them before, but there is now.
* He obviously had an axe to grind. Sorry – poor choice of words.
* I thought he looked chipper this morning.
* That was reaching, wasn’t it?
* Wow. Sounds like there’s a little tension on the work crew.
* I repeat an old saying from the wacky news: There never was a fun story with the word “torso” in it.
