AUDIO: HOME-MADE FLAMETHROWER FAILS TO KILL COCKROACHES
A Centralia, Washington, resident sparked a small fire in an apartment on Monday while trying to kill cockroaches with a homemade flamethrower. Fire crews were called to the apartment on Monday morning after receiving a report of a commercial structure fire, but by the time firefighters arrived, the resident had extinguished the flames. No one was injured. Officials say the resident was using bug spray and a lighter to create a flamethrower for killing cockroaches, which sparked the fire. It’s not clear whether any cockroaches were actually killed in the process.
* They may not have been killed, but I’ll bet they were super freaked out.
* “This guy is nuts! Let’s go next door!”
* A homemade flamethrower? Now there’s a term with trouble written all over it.
* Remember when they used to talk about Yankee ingenuity?
* For a few minutes there, he was dreaming of taking his invention to Shark Tank.
* He didn’t have the patience for Roach Motel, so he stepped it up a notch to Roach Crematorium.
* The weird part? In some places, “toasted cockroaches” is a food.
* What a dummy. He should have gone with a military-grade flamethrower.
* This was more like “Shock and Aww, Shoot!”
* And you know the real word I wanted to use there.
