ASSISTANT CLAIMS BOSS MADE HER WATCH "CHICK FLICKS"

A woman who worked briefly for the president of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the school, alleging she was expected to play tennis, jog and watch “chick flicks” with her female boss. Sarah Hulbert, 59, wrote in her complaint that she was treated differently from her male co-workers during her time as an executive assistant for college President A. Clayton Spencer. Spencer wanted her as a jogging partner in the early morning, wanted her to play tennis despite an injured foot, and made her watch “chick flicks” with her on Friday nights. Hulbert lasted at the job for just a little longer than a month in the summer of 2012.
* Sounds like the college president just wanted a friend. Is that so wrong?
* Somebody needs a puppy.
* When the college president added ironing and Brazilian waxing, it was too much.
* She had to watch chick flicks? That’s got to be illegal.
* I’m afraid to ask. Did these flicks include “Mama Mia!”?
* They did? Oh, you poor, poor thing. Pay the woman.
* The woman definitely has a case after her many long years of service … wait, did she say she only worked there a month?
* Sounds like Bates College needs to fine-tune their hiring process.
