AIRPLANE DOOR FALLS ONTO GOLF COURSE
A group of golfers in Mount Holly, North Carolina, were surprised when a door panel from a passing plane crashed onto the green. The panel, an access door, approximately 15 inches wide, landed at Green Meadows Golf Course around 8:20 a.m. It came from American Airlines Flight 1910 as the plane approached Charlotte Douglas International Airport. A golfer called the Federal Aviation Administration and reported that the panel fell. No injuries were reported and the plane, an Airbus 321, landed safely a short time later.

* You know what their first thought was: “Harrison Ford again?”
* I don’t expect a lot from airlines, but could you at least screw the parts of your planes together tighter?
* That’ll leave a divot on the old golf course.
* And they say there’s not enough action in golf.
* It landed on the green”? That’s better than a lot of my shots.
* How about that flight huh? They really blew the doors off.
* No, I mean it. They really blew the doors off.
