CAMP BACON

Do you like bacon? Do you like camp? Camp Bacon is a five-day festival, May 31 to June 4 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Run by Zingerman’s Roadhouse, a deli in Ann Arbor, Camp Bacon guests will get to taste-test recipes, visit local restaurants where chefs use plenty of bacon, go to an evening pig roast, and walk around a street fair. There are speakers and events planned throughout the festival. Guests will learn how to bake with bacon and make treats like peppered bacon farm bread, bacon cheddar scones, sweet and salty bacon pecan sandy cookies and maple glazed bacon apple doughnuts.

* I never thought I’d say this, but it sounds like maybe bacon DOESN’T go well with everything.
* It almost sounded fun, then they had to throw in “walk around a street fair”.
* How can they pack all this excitement and thrills into just five days?
* Anybody want to tell them the whole bacon craze died out about two years ago?
