GUY PROPOSED IN FRONT OF TORNADO
A Texas storm chaser proposed to his girlfriend in front of an oncoming tornado. Alex Bartholomew got down on one knee to propose to Britney Fox Cayton in a field in McLean, Texas, while a twister raged in the distance. Bartholomew told Clayton they were going on a routine storm chase, while he was actually planning the extravagant proposal. The tornado appeared to be about two miles away, and it reportedly caused no damage. Oh – and she did say yes.
* Talk about a whirlwind courtship.
* Guy sounds like a real blowhard.
* Notice how quickly “in front of a tornado” became “in the distance … two miles away”.
* If it’s two miles away, why not just propose in front of a picture of a tornado?
* Or propose while the movie “Twister” plays in the background.
* Now they just need a hurricane for the wedding.
* The tornado did no damage? Good. The cuteness factor of this story would go way down with, like, 20 fatalities.
* I wish they’d give the bingo score on this tornado. You know … like F-5.
* Unfortunately the engagement ring got swept up in the storm and was never seen again.
* This is another one of these things that sounds so romantic now but just wait.
* I see them in divorce court with the bride crying, “Then the bastard put me in grave danger by proposing in front of a tornado.” (Sob.)
