TEXAS DATE SUER GETS HIS $17 BACK WITHOUT SUING
The man who sued his date for $17.31 – the cost of a movie ticket to “Guardians of the Galaxy; Vol. 2 in 3-D” got his money back and has dropped the lawsuit. Brandon Vezmar, 37, from Austin, Texas, sued his date, Crystal Cruz, 35, for $17.31 because she started texting 15 minutes into the movie. When he asked her to stop, she told Vezmar that she would be right back, left the theater and drove away, leaving him without a ride. After all the publicity, Cruz just went ahead and paid him the $17.31. She claims, “I had my phone low and I wasn’t bothering anybody. It wasn’t like constant texting.” She had cited her reasoning for not refunding his money: “He took me out on a date.”
* Better than calling Saul.
* Can’t we all just get along? See – we can!
* I sort of see now why this guy doesn’t have a girlfriend.
* Ahh, shoot. Try for a second date with her. You never know.
* It’d be easier than trying to find a date whose head isn’t in their smart phones all the time.
* Whatever happens, I’ll bet on his next date, HE does the driving.
* I bet it wasn’t her texting that disturbed him. It was that she wasn’t into the movie as much as he was.
* I’m sensing a major Guardians of the Galaxy geek here.
