NO ONE WILL BE FIRED OVER UNITED DRAGGING INCIDENT
United Airlines won’t be firing anyone over last week’s incident in which a passenger was dragged off a plane. Chief Executive Officer Oscar Munoz said Tuesday, “It was a system failure across various areas, so there was never a consideration for firing an employee or anyone around it.” He acknowledged “lots of conjecture” about his own fate at the nation’s third-largest carrier and said “the buck stops here.” However, all three of the airport police officers involved were placed on leave last week.
* So, a nice little vacation, then.
* When everyone is to blame, no one is to blame.
* By any chance, did any of them say “I was just following orders”?
* If the airport police officers ever do get fired, there’s always an opening for fighters in the MMA organization.
* It was a system failure across many areas, including what came out of the CEO’s mouth.
* Sure, if you fire any United employees now they’ll be more likely to testify against the airline in court.
* United – the nation’s third-largest carrier-and-thrower-offer.
* Considering this is about someone who was knocked off his feet, this story really has legs.
