8-YEAR-OLD DRIVES 4-YEAR-OLD SISTER TO MCDONALD'S

While his parents were sleeping, an eight-year-old boy from East Palestine, Ohio, hopped behind the wheel of his dad’s van and drove a half-mile to the local McDonald’s with his 4-year-old sister. The boy pulled up to the drive-thru window of the restaurant at around 8 p.m. Sunday after driving from his home. The children did get to eat at McDonald’s while they waited for their grandparents to pick them up. Police say the boy watched YouTube videos to learn how to drive. No charges are being filed. Witnesses say the boy followed the rules of the road, stopping for lights and keeping within speed limits.
* Which is how they knew that it wasn’t an adult behind the wheel.
* That’s a paddlin’. – OR – That wasn’t a Happy Meal, that was a You’re Getting Spanked Meal.
* That drive-thru almost became a plow-thru.
* “Your total is $7.55.” “Will you accept three rubber bands and a cool rock?”
* Kids today! Can’t even walk a half-mile for a burger!
* Normally I’d ask why the parents were sleeping at 8 p.m. on Sunday but, hey – an 8-year-old and a 4-year-old. I get it.
* Of course, now the parents will never find it easy to sleep again.
* McDonald’s? Too bad the boy didn’t watch some YouTube videos about a healthier diet.
* Nothing builds those tiny bodies like a trip to the nation’s fast food industry.
* As far as the driving? Precocious little tyke, isn’t he?
