AUDIO: PASSENGER FORCIBLY DRAGGED OFF UNITED FLIGHT, FOR REASONS
United Airlines needed to fly four crew members from Chicago to Louisville so they could work another flight. Problem was, the plane was already booked full. So, they asked for volunteers to give up their seats. They offered $400 and a hotel stay, but no one took it. They offered $800. No takers. Then, a manager came aboard and said a computer would select four people to be taken off the flight. One couple was selected first and they left the airplane. Then, three airline employees wearing security jackets came on board and confronted one of the other selected passengers. He said that he was a doctor who needed to see patients at a hospital in the morning, and refused to leave. They grabbed him, and literally dragged him screaming down the aisle and out of the plane. After awhile, the man was able to get back on the plane – his face was bloody and he seemed disoriented. He ran to the back of the plane. Some passengers asked to get off the plane as a medical crew came on to deal with the passenger, and then all the passengers were told to get off and go back to the gate so that officials could “tidy up” the plane before taking off, which it did, two hours late.

* Passengers turned down 800 bucks to get off the plane? That gives you some idea of what life is like in Chicago these days.
* If they wanted people to leave the plane they should have announced the in-flight movie was “The Great Wall.”
* Okay, everyone lawyer up and we’ll reconvene the passengers back in court later for the inevitable lawsuits.
