ALABAMA TEEN CAN'T TAKE GRANDMA TO THE PROM
An Alabama teenager named Bryce wanted to give his grandmother the opportunity she never had, to attend a high school prom. But after an adorable “promposal,” and a new dress was bought, his high school principal changed his mind and said the granny is not welcome. “ Steve Hawkins, principal of Eufaula City Schools, stated, “Safety of students and staff is the first and most important of the many tasks of a school administrator. For the 10 years I have been high school principal, we have denied requests each year from students asking to bring older dates to prom. We do not chance leaving any stone unturned when it comes to safety. Most high schools have an age limit for prom attendees.”
* So, no goodnight kiss then?
* And by now, there aren’t any girls left to ask to the prom. Ha ha – loser!
* Now who is Bryce going to get to buy liquor on prom night?
* Wow, grandma gets stood up again.
* I picture her all dressed in her new outfit sitting by the door of the rest home crying.
* Serves him right. That’s what this kids gets for honoring his elders. He won’t make that mistake again.
* This could be one of those ideas that sounds sweeter than it actually looks.
* You know what would be really rough? If they let her attend but she went home with another kid.
