POLICE DOG HAS THREE TAKEDOWNS IN 90 MINUTES
An Oregon police K9 caught three suspects within the span of 90 minutes. Clackamas County police dog Spencer’s hat-trick began around 10:20 a.m. Sunday, when he was on patrol with his hander Sgt. Don Boone.
– The pair first tracked down and captured 21-year-old Austin Kollas after he allegedly stole a vehicle. Spencer captured the car thief after he fled from the car in a parking lot.
– Just over an hour later, at 11:35 a.m., Spencer found and took down Timothy Elmore, 41, who was hiding inside a trailer. He was wanted on parole violation charges.
– Nine minutes later, at 11:44 a.m., Spencer captured Lonnette Denison, 36, who was attempting to hide from deputies in a holly bush outside her apartment. Dennison had warrants out on multiple charges.
Officer Boone has been a K9 handler for 20 years. Spencer has been serving with the force for six years, which is 42 dog years.
* Spencer then barked, “I’m gettin’ too old for this crap.”
* Boy, that Sgt. Don Boone is something, huh? Can’t chase a guy in a parking lot, can’t find a guy in a trailer, and can’t find a woman behind a holly bush.
* Obviously Don is dead weight on the force and Spencer has to carry him.
* “Go get ‘im, Spencer! I’ll be waiting here in the car.”
* Does he make Spencer drive the patrol car, too?
* What the hell kind of Sodom and Gomorrah town is Clackamas, Oregon, with that kind of crime rate?
* I’ve been to Clackamas County. You should see the ones who got away.
* “Look, I know you’re taking this police dog gig very seriously, but remember, nobody likes a show-off.”
* This is nothing. You should see the dog playing “Fetch!”
* Meanwhile the military’s dogs over in Iraq are saying, “Are we supposed to be impressed by this?”
