BURGLAR WHO LEFT A FOOTPRINT: "SOMEONE ELSE WAS WEARING MY SHOES"
In Fort Walton Beach, Florida, a 27-year-old man was charged with burglary, larceny and dealing in stolen property after his footprints were found on the door he kicked in. A witness told deputies that they’d seen the man kicking in the door and carrying out items in a pillow case and jewelry boxes. A deputy spotted the suspect’s vehicle in the Walmart parking lot and stopped to talk to the man. When he was told the tread on his shoes matched footprints at the scene, he told the deputy that someone else must have been wearing his shoes.
* In that case, you’re free to go.
* And we’ll try to catch the man who stole your shoes.
* Now he could kick himself.
* The takeaway here is, always break the door down with your shoulder.
* Or, if you’re going to kick in the door, wear someone else’s shoes.
* It’s sort of reminiscent of OJ and the Bruno Maglis shoes, right?
* To refresh, OJ said he’d never wear those “ugly ass” shoes that just happened to be his size at the crime scene. Then, they found an old picture of him in a Buffalo Bills program wearing the exact same shoes he said he’d never wear. Case solved.
* So I guess the real killer wore the Bruno Magli shoes to do the killing, then went back in time and planted them on OJ’s feet for the photograph. Got it.
