AUDIO: PILOT GOES A LITTLE CRAZY BEFORE FLIGHT
This happened Saturday morning on a United Flight departing the Austin, Texas airport. A woman dressed in civilian clothes walked on, grabbed the PA and announced that she was the pilot. She wanted to know if everybody was okay with her wearing regular clothes to fly. Little weird, right? But then… then she says, “Sorry, I’m going through a divorce.” And then: “I don’t care if you voted for Trump or Clinton. They’re both a–holes.” The pilot scared passengers so much around half of them decided to disembark. She was, obviously, not allowed to fly the plane. Passengers who had de-planed and were waiting too re-board reported that the pilot was out in the terminal, still in tears and apologizing for the incident.
* The poor woman was obviously troubled and incoherent, so they transferred her to customer service.
* The funny thing was, she was supposed to be flying for Frontier.
* Everybody who got off and got back on was, of course, charged United’s $35 re-boarding fee.
* This could be a very special aviation version of the “What were they on?” game.
* I’m going to take a wild guess and say “prescription painkillers.” So you’d definitely need a plane to get as high as she was.
* Thanks for asking us about your outfit, but we just feel that the pilot’s uniform is one of the key signs that you really are a pilot.
* She’s still talking about Clinton vs. Trump? That means she’s been on a bender since last November.
