GOLFER USES PUTTER TO ESCAPE GATOR
Tony Aarts was playing at the Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida, last Wednesday when he heard a splash while approaching the fourth hole. An alligator grabbed his right ankle and he ended up on his back before they both rolled into a water hazard. Aarts used his putter to jab the gator in the eyes before it let him go. Aarts was treated and released from a hospital. State wildlife workers captured the gator and put it down.
* They put it down for a bogey is what they put it down for.
* In golf, that’s known as playing a scramble.
* Usually you get a handicap BEFORE you start playing.
* Quick work with the putter. That golfer was about to go on the death roll.
* And yet they say golf lacks action.
* It could be worse. He could have Tiger Woods’ problems on the golf course.
* Did they kill the gator or just put it down with verbal taunts?
