DAYCARE SHAMES PARENTS

A day care in Houston, Texas, posted a message on their front door to parents picking up their children: “Get off your phone”. Somebody photographed the message and posted it to Facebook, and it is going viral. The sign reads:
“You are picking up your child! GET OFF YOUR PHONE!!!! Your child is happy to see you! Are you not happy to see your child?? We have seen children trying to hand their parents their work they completed and the parent is on the phone. We have heard a child say ‘Mommy, mommy, mommy…” and the parent is paying more attention to their phone than their own child. It is appalling. Get off your phone!!”
* Get off our backs!!
* Mommy needs a hands-free bluetooth phone.
* “Mommy will look at your color scribbles as soon as she finishes closing this million dollar real estate deal that pays for your day care, sweetie.”
* I suppose next they’ll tell us we can’t drop off our kids in our pajamas.
* This is why you should always send a self-driving Uber to pick up your child.
* Before you start telling us how to be good parents, how about working on being good teachers?
* Kinda mouthy for people who get paid out of our taxes.
* Look, once the kids are back out your front door, this stuff is none of your damn business.
* What would you suggest? A government mandate?
* “Your child is happy to see you”? There you go again, assuming things.
* There’s a small possibility the kids are happy ’cause they just got out of school.
* This violates a key rule of overblown rhetoric: Never say you’re appalled without also saying how outraged you are.
* Sure, go ahead. Shame the parents. That’s going to be good for business.
* PHONE TOPIC: “I Am A Shameful Parent.” Examples of your poor parenting skills.
