A family’s pet tortoise was found safe in the wake of the California wildfires. The rescue occurred after the family’s Altadena home was destroyed in the Eaton Fire. Rocky the tortoise was found in a hole in the family’s backyard. In a video on Instagram, a deputy was seen bringing the 100-pound Rocky to safety, as the family cheered.
* “Yay! We just lost our home and now we have a giant tortoise to take care of! Thank you officer!”
