On Monday in Manchester, New Hampshire, a 53-year-old carjacker lost control of his stolen van while fleeing from police and crashed into the Manchester Police Department parking lot. Barton Tibando was traveling at a high speed and running red lights when he hit another vehicle. The van went out of control, hitting four granite barriers in front of the Police Department. Tibando ran from the crashed vehicle into the police department’s parking lot where, confronted by officers, he was tased and taken into custody.
* Good move. Why waste everybody’s time?
* The tasing was for running the red lights. Coulda hurt somebody.
* Yeah, I would have driven in the OPPOSITE direction from the greatest concentration of police, but that’s just me.
* He also filled out his own paperwork and locked himself into the cell.
