DRACULA’S CASTLE OFFERS FREE COVID SHOTS

At Romania’s Bran Castle, which is purported to be the inspiration behind Dracula’s home in Bram Stoker’s 19th-century gothic novel “Dracula,” a COVID-19 vaccination center has been set up outside of the tourist site. Every weekend through May “vaccination marathons” will be held just outside the storied 14th-century hilltop castle, no appointment needed. Alexandru Priscu, the marketing manager at Bran Castle, says those “brave enough” (* ooOOOOOooo!!!!!) to get a Pfizer vaccine receive a “vaccination diploma,” illustrated with a fanged medical worker holding a syringe. And, he adds, “Besides the diploma, people can get free entry to the castle’s torture rooms.”
* In America, we call those the restrooms.
* Free entry. He didn’t say you can also leave for free.
* Do the Romanian tourist people think its citizens are idiots?
* If it helps keep Romania’s vampires from getting COVID from people’s blood, I guess it’s a good thing.
* In going with the Dracula theme, they’ll be using little wooden needles. Very painful.
