David Thomas, the new president of Morehouse College, is starting his new job in an unusual way. Thomas moved into a cramped dormitory room Tuesday for two days to get a taste of what life is like for first-year students of the prestigious historically black school in Atlanta. He’ll be staying at Graves Hall, the oldest building on campus that once housed the entire college. Although he won’t have a roommate, he’ll be sharing the floor with students. “It will give me some perspective on what college is like for students and what is on their minds,” Thomas said.
* Also, a chance to score some sweet herb, dude.
* Should have made it a Thursday and Friday, so he has the weekend to nurse the hangover.
* He wants to know what’s on their minds? So he’s not on Facebook, then.
* Party at the President’s house! He’s not home for two days! Woo hoo!
